It means 'chimney cake' and it's our favorite travel treat. 🥨 Because the little ones love it, we tried the homemade version and, to our joy, it turns out just as good and crispy! 🤎 It's the recipe that immediately turns your home into the most welcoming place in the world. 🏠
🛒 Ingredients:
- 🥨 500g flour
- 🥨 10g dry yeast + a pinch of salt
- 🥨 100g sugar
- 🥨 350ml lukewarm milk mixed with 2 teaspoons of melted butter 🥛
- 🥨 Bio lemon or orange zest 🍋🍊
- 🥨 2 teaspoons each of vanilla and rum essence ✨
- 🥨 Topping: beaten egg, granulated sugar, and ground walnuts 🥜
👨🍳 Preparation:
- The Dough: Knead a smooth dough in a bowl and let it rise for at least 1 hour, until it grows beautifully. ☁️
- Modeling: Divide the dough into 3, roll out thin sheets (2-3 mm), and cut into long strips.
- Wrapping: Use a rolling pin wrapped in aluminum foil, greased with a little oil, and carefully wrap the dough around it. 🪄
- The Topping: Brush with beaten egg and roll well through the sugar and walnut mix. 🥥
- Baking: Bake at 190°C for 20-25 minutes, suspending the rolling pin on a deep baking tray. Don't forget to rotate it for a perfect browning! 🎡🔥
