Between December 19 and 23, 2024, we experienced a true winter fairy tale in the heart of Lapland. we experienced the polar night, where it was purely night during our entire stay – an experience that surprises you every single day and makes you feel the magic of the place at every step. This journey was filled with magical moments and unique experiences.
Crossing the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus's Post Office
The adventure began with crossing the legendary Arctic Circle, a moment that marks the official entry into the realm of eternal snows. Right after, we visited the famous Santa Claus Main Post Office, where elves send letters all over the world.
Through the snow drifts with reindeer and husky sleds
A truly Scandinavian experience was the ride through the snowy forests. First, we let ourselves be carried away in complete silence by the reindeer-drawn sled, reminiscent of classic tales. Then, we felt the adrenaline and joy of being driven through the snow by enthusiastic husky dogs.
Magic in the sky: The Northern Lights
Lapland couldn't let us leave without the most spectacular show nature has to offer. Looking at the dark sky, we witnessed the wonderful northern lights, whose dancing colors remained etched in our memory.
